| While making photographs Peter Hagerty was also founding Exhibitions Director of the Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool (1980-85). Subsequently he was the founder archivist for the E.Chambré Hardman Trust, Liverpool (1987-95). |
| His doctoral thesis "The Continuity of Landscape Representation: the Photography of E.Chambré Hardman (1898-1988)" was funded by Liverpool School of Art (1995-1998). |
From 1998 - 2004 he led the Dissertation, Critical Studies and History of Photography modules on the degree programme Documentary & Fine Art Photography BA (Hons) at Stockport College UK. 2007 he is currently undertaking independent research and web exhibitions using digital photography, preparing a book of photographs for publication and writing radio drama scripts on photographic history and scientific themes. |
