Black & White

I learned to see, photographically speaking, in black and white. This early enforced separation of form and colour was in retrospect a valuable experience.

With digital photography, colour is a given; wed to the pixel display. It is only in post production that you can "Revert to Greyscale" there is no "Shoot in Greyscale" and no opportunity to sample the experience of working with no colour.
