I recollect struggling to ensure the correct exposure in an early still life (in awe of the nineteenth century photographers who did not even have the assistance of a light meter). But the facility and accuracy of this digital camera bypasses my knowledge - to focus and measure with no apparent reference to me.
This instrument dispenses with a whole body of knowledge. For the the casual user, the amateur and the professional alike the last vestiges of craft are abandoned for the ease of post production tinkering. The new industrial standards measure bytes in a colour space and not a glossy half plate or inches.
