Oh if only I could share this yello with you, because the eye of the beholder is everything, but my concern is not with a problem of technology but of perception. Of course the technology is a contemporary problem, variations in color spaces and the lack of monitor profile standards, make a mockery of careful color control.
But beyond this lack of technical standards is your perception of "my yello", of which there can be no definitive correlation. I like the way that the yello of a Sunflower is a broadly perceived spectrum, and like the sense of taste can only be described in crude terms of reference to other tastes. Which leads me to ask how important is a precise and specific color to the aesthetic experience, how many nanometers is an acceptable range ?
