The Chinese year of the monkey and a techno foobar. By mistake i switched the camera to "movie mode" resulting in "moving pictures" instead of a single image array. More sophisticated cameras offer ripping a single frame from a "movie captured" - this post production, the isolation of a single frame array, makes photography a subset of film making.

Today's frame of reference for the decisive moment has irrevocably shifted, this is not a cause for lament, but merely a development. Future historians will acknowledge the skills of the likes of Bresson, and attach a certain prestige to his learned skill but with modern tools this is too easily stage managed.
